FCG's linguistic perspective is in line with research in cognitive linguistics and construction grammar. Like many other contemporary theories, its underlying representation is based on feature structures and unification. So far, FCG has mainly been applied in research on the emergence and evolution of grammatical phenomena. This two-day tutorial provides an interactive introduction to FCG through both lectures and hands-on courses. It is open to all researchers who are interested in construction grammar formalisms and have sufficient background to allow active participation. The ideal participant would be familiar with the relevant linguistic theories as well as techniques from symbolic programming, computational linguistics and artificial intelligence. The number of participants is limited and hence a selection procedure is necessary. For further information please go to the tutorial website.
